Sheikh-ul-Islam will join the leadership of another international organization

The Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims’ Board, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh met with the Secretary-General of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity (HCHF) Mohammad Abdul-Salam on January 27. The Secretary - General, who initiated the meeting, expressed his intention to be acquainted with Sheikh-ul-Islam, to establish permanent contacts, as well as to discuss possible aspects of cooperation between the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity (HCHF) and the Caucasus Muslims’ Board.  
During the meeting, Mr. Mohammad Abdul - Salam said that Sheikh-ul-Islam A. Pashazadeh had extensive experience and ties in the field of cooperation between religions and civilizations, global prestige and as well as possible future partnerships between the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity and the Caucasus Muslims’ Board were discussed.
Mr. Mohammad Abdul Salam informed that the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity (HCHF), based on the Human Fraternity Declaration signed between Pope Francis and Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb, includes world-renowned religious leaders, scholars and cultural figures. Expressing their desire to expand the membership of the Supreme Committee, the Secretary General announced his intention to discuss and approve the candidacy of Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims’ Board, at the next meeting of the bodies in May, Mr. Mohammad Abdul -Salam stressed that the Higher Committee was established to implement the goals set out in the Human Fraternity Declaration on a permanent basis, and its mission is to promote mutual respect and the values of peaceful coexistence between religions and cultures.
In his welcoming speech, the Chairman of the CMB emphasized that Azerbaijan is a country of tolerant, multicultural traditions that embodies the ideas of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity (HCHF). He noted that the Azerbaijani state makes great contributions to inter-religious dialogue and cooperation through initiatives supported at the level of President and First Vice President, and actively participates in projects and initiatives that truly support human solidarity in the world.
Recalling with pride his participation in the signing ceremony of the Human Fraternity Declaration in Abu Dhabi, the CMB chairman stressed the importance of participating in the activities arising from this document, the promotion and encouragement of the ideas reflected in it. 
He reminded that in his letters to Al-Azhar during the Patriotic War, Azerbaijan gave detailed information about this just and fair struggle, as well as the scale and details of the vandalism committed in our occupied territories, and he thanked Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb for his support of Azerbaijan and congratulations on our historic victory.
Mr. Salam expressed his deep gratitude to the Chairman of the CMB for his long-term, valuable work serving the human fraternity worldwide. He asked the chairman of the CMB to attend and address a video conference to be held on February 4 - International Human Solidarity Day, established by the UN in connection with the signing of the Human Fraternity Declaration. Sheikh-ul-Islam A. Pashazadeh welcomed the request and said he would make efforts to develop further cooperation between the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity (HCHF) and the Caucasian Muslims’ Board (CMB).
